Lama Jesse

"It is great news that Jesse Fallon will be taking on the role of Spiritual Advisor for ACI-CA. Lama Jesse is an extraordinary gem -- extremely well trained in the details of the open and secret teachings of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition; a seasoned meditator who has done many long, solitary retreats; a wise and sensitive personal advisor for those in crisis or need; a gifted teacher and sincere practitioner who has completely given his life to the service of others." Venerable Lama Sumati Marut

As the Spiritual Advisor for ACI-Cape Ann, Jesse provides spiritual guidance to the dharma community as a whole and to individuals who wish it.

Jesse has been studying and teaching Buddhism since 2004. From the very start, he was inspired to offer these teachings to others. He completed the 18 course ACI formal curriculum in 2006 and the 18 course advanced curriculum in 2010. He has been regularly studying both the open and secret teachings of Buddhism directly with Venerable Sumati Marut, Geshe Michael Roach and Lama Christie McNally. He attended every full term of Diamond Mountain from spring of 2005 to winter of 2009-10.

Jesse has completed two one-month solitary retreats and numerous shorter retreats. He has attended the Tibetan Heart Yoga teacher trainings 1 through 6 with Lama Christie and Geshe Michael and the Classics of Yoga philosophy trainings with Lama Marut. He also completed a one-year adult catechism class in the Roman Catholic tradition from an ordained Father in Willcox, AZ, concurrently with his Buddhist studies.

In addition to formal study and personal practice, Jesse is a dedicated teacher of debate. He also offers informal discussion settings where people can bring questions or concerns, and share experiences and insights.

Jesse first came to Cape Ann in January of 2008. He was and has remained impressed with the high level of enthusiasm, genuine open-heartedness, and spiritual faculties of ACI-Cape Ann practitioners, and is honored to serve here.
